Prayer. Patience. Position.

Familiarizing myself with God’s voice was necessary for my prayer life. I prayed from time to time, but it wasn’t a priority in my life. Praying was just something that I did when my back was against the wall or I was desperate and had run out of any other alternatives. It wasn’t a practice until one day I heard God say “I want to be understood by you, pray more.” Hearing that made me analyze my relationship with prayer, and here is what I found.

Prayer is the channel that we use to build an intimate relationship with God. It is how we come to understand God‘s word. Praying is the method by which God meets our needs. Honesty about those needs allows God an opportunity to show us how faithful He is. Prayer is the housekeeper of our hearts, and acts as a source of healing both emotional and physical.

The funny thing about God is He’s not on our timeline He’s on his own. So we must have patience. A key component of practicing patience, is trust. You cannot have one without the other you cannot be patient if you do not trust with expectancy the God will work all things out for the good.

I struggled with this, honestly I still do. Being patient is not a strong suit of mine, but God is working on it with me. I am so used to getting things when I want them that when I have to wait, worry begins to crop up in my mind. Then right behind worry comes my good old friend doubt. And if doubt is present, God is absent.

God cannot deliver on the prayer, if we lack faith. Believe that God will provide what we pray for, or better, is how we get into the position to be blessed. Waiting patiently with expectancy is the place that the answer to our prayers meet us. That is the place of alignment.

It is your time to get in position. Pray with a clean, honest ,heart, and open that space up for the blessings. Wait patiently with an expecting heart. Trusting fully that is the position to receive God‘s love for you. I know that patience, trust, and faith are extremely hard things to possess. But what greater possession canine have, than to trust God with all your heart and soul.

Will you get in position or will you continue to worry and doubt that what God has promised you is actually right there waiting for you?

Pray, wait, believe, and get in formation to receive what God has in store for you.
