Dark Night Before You Take Flight
Spiritual Transformation is an essential part of the process in our own development. We were made to grow and never stop. To clear the mind and open the heart. This is our journey towards union with God. Although we may stop growing on the surface, work is happening underground, in the dark, and in the night. This is the evolution of the spirit, which is sparked by the phenomenon we term as The Dark Night of the Soul. This is where we find spiritual maturity. From egg to butterfly we must go through some tough shit to take flight.
Just as any transformation you will experience your dark night in stages. There are 7 stages.
Stage One is the Desire for More. In this stage you feel a deep longing for something other than what you have always known or experienced. Nothing that you have going on or possess brings you true joy or peace. There is an unrest in your soul.
Stage Two is a Spiritual Death. This is where we experience destruction due to chaos, trauma, or a breakdown of relationships or finances. It leaves you feeling depressed and lost without purpose.
Stage Three is Self Realization, a painful self discovery into your own ego that exposes how you are the culprit in messing up your life. It exposes your toxic habits, patterns, and behaviors that keep you in cycles of self harm. It is the lifting of the Matrix veils. You see shit for what it really is.
Stage Four is Reconstruction. This is the stage where we learn to surrender and let go of the things we realized were not our true self. Usually triggered by a mentor or new teachings. This is where you get disciplined in clearing the mind and opening the heart.
Stage Five is where we dig deep and find out who we really are and what we truly believe without the influence of others or the Matrix. This stage is called Self Discovery. We gain confidence and belief in ourselves at this point in development.
Stage Six is Spiritual Rebirth. In this stage we experience transcendence, a resurrection. Here we rise to a new level of consciousness. Often referred to as ascension.
FINALLY, there is Stage Seven which is Serve your Higher Purpose. God has a plan for us and once you have realized that purpose your higher self operates using the gifts that God has provided you with to impact the world. This is where we take flight with those wings we worked so hard for.
Stay with me in these upcoming weeks as we discuss these stages more in depth. The length of time we spend in each stage is determined by how much work we put in. So there is no telling how long you’ll be in each one. I recommend getting to know each stage intimately.
